What a fantastic experience and an amazing little town. The hotel was luxurious, as well as the staff’s attention to detail in our needs. We highly recommend The Place again and again to friends and family. Can’t say enough about the town of Catalina. We love the beach and the hiking trails and the different dining opportunities. Don’t miss the opportunity enjoy the view from the pool deck to see the sunset for diner up at Santido Norte.

Friendly staff and nice rooms. Beach is easily accessible. It would be nice to have chair and cabana access. Las Catalinas is easy if you’re an inexperienced traveler. Safe and sanitized. The restaurants are decent but we went to Playa Flamingo for more flavor. Cocktail prices were higher than most US destinations so no cheap drinking except on the boat tour. Typical terrible roads too and from the airport. Pothole dodging becomes a sport.

We had an amazing experience, we got married at the Santarena a year ago and came back for our anniversary! Highly recommend, the staff is amazing and made our trip special! We love Las Catalinas!

The hotel is AMAZING! We were blown away when we arrived and the hotel & area exceeded our expectations. The hotel and rooms are beautiful ! The shower had great water pressure and they included hair and body products that are made in Costa Rica. Our bed was very comfy & the pillows are VERY soft & fluffy! It was a nice break not needing to drive anywhere as it’s a walkable town. The beach is right outside the hotel so we could hear the waves crashing from our room. Our bartender Luis was exceptional & puts on a great show while making a cocktail. We will be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who loves calm, peace, amazing food & the ocean. This was an unforgettable honeymoon!

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, party of 6, our rooms were lovely, the views from the balcony were really nice. The beds are great and comfortable. They have really good food, the staff is amazing, especially the Manager David, the day manager Arturo and Danilo, in the restaurant. Their Piña Colada and Aperol Spritz are the best in town. We had a lovely experience, can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous from start to finish!! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food was great. The views are perfect. This was a solo trip but I’d highly recommend for a family trip with kids or a romantic getaway. Walkable to plenty of food options.

Hotel is located in a beautiful location on the Pacific Ocean. Ours was a very comfortable room with an amazing view. Pool is a bit small but it suites the property well. The staff, especially Arturo, treated my family very nicely. I would recommend to couples or families wishing to stay at a boutique location willing to try something different from the kitschy vibes of big chain resorts.
